Land Management / Restoration Videos
Getting involved in Landcare is a powerful way to protect and enhance the land you love while building a stronger, more resilient future for your property and community. Whether it’s improving soil health, restoring native vegetation, or protecting waterways, Landcare gives you access to practical support, local knowledge, and a network of like-minded people who care about the land as much as you do. It's hands-on, rewarding, and makes a real difference — not just for the environment, but for your farm, your family, and future generations.
We are fortunate to have a highly effective and engaged Landcare Chapter here through Brunswick Valley Landcare.
They have a wealth of information and experience (some of which we share here on the HUB for easy access). Check out their own website;

Whether you are well versed in caring for your land, or just interested in finding out more and if there is a local landcare chapter near you, Alison and Harry would be more than happy to hear from you.
For riverbank landowners in NSW, mangroves are essential allies in protecting shorelines, improving water quality, and supporting fish nurseries vital to local marine life. Mangroves are natural infrastructure that reduce erosion, buffers storm impacts, and enhances biodiversity—offering both ecological and economic benefits to those who care for coastal land.

Riverbank (riparian) ecosystems have a disproportionate impact on the surrounding area due to their interconnecting nature. These habitats support biodiversity, connect landscapes, and provide essential climate resilience by stabilising riverbanks and regulating water flows, They serve as buffers to reducing erosion, and improving water quality. If you are fortunate enough to be near rivers, creeks or natural water flows - please consider getting involved in a community landcare group, or reach out to Brunswick Valley Landcare, or contact us directly on this hub for support!
